Tunji and Aderonke have been heavily involved in pastoral ministry and church planting with a passion for discipleship and leadership development for more than 25 years. They emphasize helping men and women grow into Christian maturity and finding their calling in life, thereby fulfilling the God-ordained purpose for their lives. They have also been heavily involved on a volunteer status with Antidote Ministries for several years. Both have served in overseas missions which has taken them to a number of countries as missionaries, pastors, and church planters. They have provided leadership training and manpower development for churches and Christian ministries in Seychelles, Kenya, Singapore, Nigeria and Canada on a resident basis and also served in many other countries on an adjunct basis.
Tunji has a Master of Divinity degree in Teaching and Exposition from East Asia School of Theology in Singapore where he graduated as valedictorian in 2010. Prior to that, he practiced as a Veterinary Doctor before his call to a lifetime of Christian service. He has received postgraduate training in transformational leadership which has further equipped him with tools to train leaders in Christ-like spiritual formation. He is currently in the Gateway Seminary Doctor of Ministry program and will graduate very soon.
Aderonke is a certified Health and Life Coach conference speaker with additional qualifications in Biblical Studies, early childhood education, and psychological counseling. She has a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Brandon University and will soon enter a program for the Master of Social Work degree. She has been serving alongside her husband in missions—teaching, counseling, and working with women and children. She also helps to prepare young adults for marriage through pre-marital counseling programs and marriage and family enrichment programs for both couples and single parents. She has completed her Partners in Ministry program at East Asia School of Theology in Singapore. She is passionate about church health, Christian growth, relationship building, marriage and family health as well as teaching personal development. Aderonke has previously served on federal and community crisis lines, helping people to deal with mental health issues.
Tunji is also trained in spiritual care and chaplaincy and has served as a chaplain at a long-term Salvation Army care facility in Brandon, Canada. In addition, in 2020, Tunji and Aderonke began a church plant in their city. The church is fast becoming a multi-cultural worship center with people from many backgrounds and nationalities coming together in the unity of faith.
On January 1st, 2023, Tunji and Aderonke joined Chris and Faith as co-directors of Antidote Ministries. Chris and Faith will be training and tutoring them in the teaching of the Antidote for about the first two years. Following that time, Tunji and Aderonke will step into the primary role of Antidote leadership while Chris and Faith take a secondary role.
Tunji and Aderonke bring to Antidote Ministry many years of cross-cultural experiences in leadership training, counseling, mentoring and pastoral care. Both have seen many dysfunctional leaders in churches across different cultures and see the Antidote as a valuable tool for healing and transformation.
